Orest Ndabaneze is the embodiment of resilience, leadership, and giving back. Whether he’s streamlining human capital management as an Implementation Consultant at Avanti Software, growing his janitorial services company, Alore Cleaning, or coaching high-performance soccer, Orest approaches every opportunity with discipline, heart, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting others.
A Journey Fueled by Determination
As a student-athlete at MRU, Orest’s path was far from easy. After a tough first year that left his academic future in question, a conversation with his coach sparked a shift. He took a course on Effective Learning with Dr. Glen Ryland, where he was introduced to Carol Dweck’s concept of a malleable mindset—the idea that abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work.
Embracing this mindset, Orest turned a 1.8 GPA into a 3.75 overall, earned U Sports Academic All-Canadian honors for three years straight, and received MRU’s Presidential Award, recognizing both academic excellence and community impact. Today, he’s proud that the same course that changed his trajectory is now mandatory for all MRU soccer athletes, ensuring future students have the same opportunity to grow.
While at MRU, Orest was deeply involved in the BIPOC Support Network and co-founded How2BeU, an initiative connecting individuals to tackle social issues and drive meaningful change. Working closely with President Tim Rahilly, Orest played an active role in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts on campus. As a Presidential Award recipient, “it was an honor to have President Rahilly speak about my effort at graduation. Seeing years of work recognized in front of my family made all the sleepless nights worth it.”
Building a Business That Gives Back
In 2023, Orest founded Alore Cleaning, a company built on quality, reliability, and experienced service. With his staff bringing over 15 years of industry expertise, Alore Cleaning has secured key contracts with Hazleview Properties and Blueprint Condominium Properties and is on a mission to expand. But for Orest, success is about more than business—it’s about impact. He prioritizes hiring immigrants, paying above minimum wage, and creating opportunities for others.
Today, Orest continues to mentor and coach young athletes at Mackenzie United Soccer Club (MUSC). His next goal? To mentor high school and university students, teaching them about finance, student life, and preparing for life after graduation. "I’ve always believed in making this world a better place. That’s the legacy I want to leave.”
