What are the Qualifications?
The Alumni Council is looking for two general members. An ideal council member:
- Is a graduate of Mount Royal University or Mount Royal College
- Has prior experience in governance, strategic planning, or community/stakeholder relations
- Has time and capacity to commit to participating at a high level in the alumni program and strategic governance activities
- Enjoys engaging others in a productive manner and works well in collaborative team environments
- Has prior experience on committees or boards, or is looking for the opportunity to actively learn and apply board participation best practices
- Is comfortable with online collaboration tools such as Google Docs, Miro digital whiteboards, etc.
- Is actively engaged with MRU, with the ability to reach out to your own network of alumni connections
- Is comfortable with meeting new people, public speaking and/or using social media
