As a 2019 Outstanding Future Alumni award recipient and a proud MRU alumna twice over, Shifrah is a champion for civic engagement, public health and communications.
Shifrah is a government relations and research consultant and a registered nurse. Highly active in student governance while at MRU, Shifrah served two terms as President of the Students’ Association of MRU, and served on the Canadian Alliance of Student Associations. From 2018 to 2021 she served on the board of Ask Her YYC and currently sits on the board of YWCA Canada.
Shifrah holds a Bachelor of Nursing (2014) and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Minor in Women and Gender Studies (2020) from MRU, and recently completed a Master’s Degree in Political Management from Carleton University.
