Jacquie Hertlein
From 1999 to 2016 Jacquie was a member of the Calgary Police Service, notably leading CARRT, the Child At Risk Response Team and an Acting Sgt in District 4.
Jacquie holds a diploma in criminology (1996) from Mount Royal University and a diploma in police science from Guelph University.
As a student athlete Jacquie captained MRU’s first women's soccer team and led them to two provincial championships and to two CCAA Championships winning Bronze in 1996. She is now the Executive Director of the Calgary Women’s Soccer Association and collegiate women’s soccer coach where she continues to break barriers and create pathways for future female leaders.
Jacquie is very active and engaged within the soccer community in Alberta and in 2021 she was bestowed the Alberta Soccer President Award for her demonstrated outstanding contributions and long-term dedication to soccer in Alberta. Jacquie is also dedicated and committed to volunteering many hours with marginalized groups in the City of Calgary . She is also the 2019 recipient of MRU’s Lifetime Distinguished Achievement Award.
